Grainy Crackers

These crackers are easy to make. Try you own herb and spice mixes to tailor them to your families preference.
Serves 20 crackers

Ingredients

1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
1/4 cup sesame seeds
1/4 cup flour
1 clove garlic
Pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
2 teaspoons rosemary
1/2 cup water

Method

Preheat fan forced oven to 160 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray.
Combine seeds and flour in a bowl.
In a separate bowl whisk garlic, salt, chilli, rosemary and water.
Pour liquid mixture into seeds and stir until thick. Let sit for 5-10 minutes so chia seeds absorb liquid.
Spread mixture onto baking tray, pressing down until mixture is 2-3mm thick
Bake in oven for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and cut into 20 pieces. Flip each piece over and bake for a further 20 minutes.
Cool completely before storing in an air tight container. These store well for 7-10 days.
TIP: add other flavours to the crackers: chilli and lime, or Mexican (cumin, paprika, chilli and ground coriander) are both delicious.
